It had been a sizzling day at school, plus it seemed to drag on; and the school’s heating plus A/C unit had malfunctioned as my friend and I decided to go to lunch, plus the afternoon sessions seemed brutal… I could not pay attention to the mentor because I felt too hot, and just when I thought I could not handle any more of the humidity, I heard the principal’s voice on the speaker, plus our heart skipped a beat when she mentioned our name. I also wondered what I could have done to warrant a visit to the principal’s office! When I got there, I saw our dad, which puzzled myself and others more. The principal had contacted the cooling supplier where dad worked as a cooling representative to help with indoor comfort. The principal also announced that my friend and I were done for the day since the a/c broke down plus there was no indoor comfort, but she promised the situation would be improved by the following day; Dad had called myself and others to the office so I could catch a ride with the neighbor’s kid, as she could not take myself and others home. She plus the other cooling specialists would run a/c maintenance on the school’s cooling unit. It took dad plus her team numerous hours to do the a/c repairs. They simply thoroughly cleaned the mini cut a/c plus changed the filters to improve air quality. When dad got home, she confirmed my friend and I would return to school the following day as the cooling techs had fixed the quality a/c. I was fascinated by how versatile the cooling industry was. Though dad was a cooling professional, she knew more about a/c, making her skillset marketable.
