We weren’t expecting to see a Heating and Air Conditioning specialist come to the door last week.
Dad had told us we were expecting someone, but he didn’t tell us who it was.
He told us that if someone came to the door, we should let them in. We were cleaning our rooms when the doorbell rang. We walked to the door, and there stood a Heating and Air Conditioning specialist. We invited her in, and told her we were just cleaning our rooms, and she could wait for dad or come up to the rooms with us. She told us she would wait in the living room. This seemed odd, but we took her to the living room and provided her a drink and a muffin. We told her dad didn’t tell us she was a Heating and Air Conditioning specialist. That’s when we saw the weird look on her face. She told us dad should have told us. She was there to inspect the a/c unit. Dad had only told us someone was coming, but he didn’t say it was a Heating and Air Conditioning specialist. We sat down at the table with 3 cups of Coffee and a pan of freshly made muffins, and told her what dad had said. She didn’t believe that, and said she was here to work on the AC unit. She showed us her work order, and we laughed. They had the right number but the name was wrong. She was looking for our neighbor who lived 2 doors down. We all laughed, and she said she hoped dad showed up soon.
