I spent the night at a sustainable farm without air conditioner

One thing about me is that I value comfort.

And comfort means that I have a cozy bed, a moderate shower, weather conditions control (heating plus cooling) as well as Wi-Fi service.

As long as those basic needs are met, I can pretty much stay somewhere I go. So, you can only imagine when my hubby told me that he booked a weekend at a sustainable farm that had no air conditioner. At first, I wanted to tell him that we needed to reconsider because I couldn’t imagine living without air conditioner for more than a afternoon plus he planned a 3-day trip, however luckily, this farm was located in the mountains, so the weather was much cooler than I expected, then plus, the room we stayed in had fans that made it that much more comfortable. In fact, it got quite cool at night, so I didn’t have any concerns sleeping with no air conditioner. That was my first time staying in a locale like that, but my hubby has done it a few times in his life. He is entirely into sustainable living plus part of that lifestyle is reducing his carbon footprint by conserving as multiple resources as possible. And unblessedly, central air conditioners plus boilers contribute to polluting our air. At home, we do use air conditioner, but we do use it conservatively. My great friend and I have a programmable thermostat installed so that we can better manage the way we use our air conditioner plus heating. And on nicer days, instead of turning on the air conditioner, we open the windows to allow cool fresh air into our home. My great friend and I can’t solve the world’s concerns, but we do our part where we can.
