Bad running habits led to plantar fasciitis

The reason I developed plantar fasciitis was from terrible running habits.

When I was younger, I didn’t have the money to pay for gym membership fees, purchase exercise machines or get fancy shoes.

I bought a pair of ten dollar sneakers from Walmart plus started running. I made the mistake of running each and every day. As I built stamina, I increased the distance of my weekly routes. I was eventually running twelve to fourteen miles. I failed to officially hot up plus stretch prior to a run. I didn’t bother with a cool-down break following a run. I wasn’t fantastic about drinking adequate water, and plantar fasciitis is so harsh and painful. It feels as if the bottom of the foot, from the heel to the ball, is ripping open with every step. The pain got so terrible that I could no longer run. I could barely walk plus I struggled to sleep at night. Icing my feet, stretching the muscles plus taking over-the-counter anti-inflammatory meds helped. I finally busy an appointment with a podiatrist, who fitted me for inserts into my sneakers. These plastic inserts work to support the arches of the feet. My podiatrist recommended that I spend some money on a pair of sneakers designed for running. I did some Google research plus realized that running every day is legitimately terrible for the feet plus joints! Now that I can move freely again, I try to be smarter about it. I only run two or three days per week. In-between, my workouts are centered around doing low impact activities such as cycling, kayaking plus weight-lifting. I prioritize my warm-up period, cool-down, stretching plus regular hydration.
