Jonathan recommended we get a mini split AC for the garage

Jonathan wanted us to turn the garage into a home office.

At first, I was hesitant of the idea because we store all our things there.

If we turned the garage into an office, we’d need to get a storage unit to rent. However, his argument was good since we both needed a home office. I work part time at home and use a small table in our bedroom. This is the same small table that Jonathan uses as a fulltime remote worker. He got into remote work during the pandemic after losing his job at a certain hotel in the city. The small table we use as a semi-office once had some bedroom plants. But, now it has laptops and other support items to make our work easier. In the end, I agreed with him we turn the garage into a small home office. Our car would fit to one side, and we’d use the other side for an office. The only issue was we had to figure out the best way to heat and cool the garage. We have a forced air system in the house, however the ductwork doesn’t extend to the garage. So, if we wanted to use the same unit, we’d need to add air ducts. In addition, an HVAC worker also mentioned getting a new HVAC system to take on the additional space. All that sounded expensive, so Jonathan recommended we get a mini split AC for the garage. It was less costly, and would work independent from the HVAC system in our home.
