My mom and I went to visit my grandmother last weekend. My mom said that my grandmother needed someone to go and get groceries. My grandmother has not been able to take the bus to the grocery store because she has been feeling under the weather. When my mom and I got to the house, it was cold and frigid inside. My mom immediately turned on the heat pump. My grandmother informed my mom that the heat pump had not been working in days. My mom got upset and said that’s why my grandmother wasn’t feeling well. She called a repair service even though my grandmother did not want my mom to get involved. My mom and I stayed at the house until the heat pump repair service arrived. My mom and I sat in the kitchen with my grandmother until the technician came to talk with us. My mom did not expect to hear bad news, but the heat pump needed to be replaced. My grandmother got upset and told my mom that’s why she did not want her to get involved. The next thing that happened was my Mom calling my dad to get him to pay for the new heating appliance.
