My grandson has a healthy fear of snakes.
He isn’t afraid of them, despite the fact that he knows not to play with them, and keep his distance.
He knows the difference between poisonous and non-poisonous, despite the fact that he won’t get close enough to check. He always calls his Grandfather to affix the snake and take it far away from the house. He was busy playing in the pool out back, when I heard him running into the house. He told me there was a snake in the cooling system. I asked if he was sure it was a snake and not a small branch. He said he saw the snake go into the a/c unit. I also called my hubby and told him about the snake in the a/c unit. He got his tongs and went outside. He looked in the A/C component air slots, however it was too dark to see. Even with his bright flashlight, he could not see much. He carefully unaffixed the front cover. After shining his flashlight around, he hastily closed the cover again. He got our grandson inside, and told me not to let him out. He called a buddy who was an exterminator. He told me he saw at least eight pairs of eyes in the a/c unit. When his buddy showed up, it took him almost two hours to chase down all the snakes. There were various eggs inside, which he destroyed, despite the fact that he said the snakes would go to someone he knew. As long as the long snakes weren’t in the cooling system, I didn’t care what he did with them.
