I need to call my mom as it has been weeks since we talked.
Her brother is dying soon and I think she has been feeling a bit down about it, so I am giving her time to digest it as it is a big thing losing a brother who you are close to.
I’ve been living away from mom for eight years now and it is tough going back home to visit because I really can see her aging each time I return. I guess we are all aging but it is tougher seeing your dear mom get old. HVAC system repairs was mom’s job for many years, but now her and my HVAC rep dad are both retired and spend a lot of their time in their hometown and we don’t get to see each other so much anymore. It is sad that we are so far apart, but my dreams have brought me over here and I have to give them a shot before throwing in the towel and moving back home to my hometown. I work for a local contractor in town here and they keep me pretty busy during the week, but on the weekends I play music in a band and we are trying to do a big tour of the country in a few more months or so. We are both cooling contractors and work together at the local business during the day, and at night we practice some on the streets and record our songs to upload online for our little fan base.
