My sister uses a window a/c with her Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C unit

I went to spend several weeks with my sister who lives in the Southern part of the country. She moved to the South about 23 years ago and enjoyed it so much that it has now become her home. I like to visit the South, but I can’t say that I love it enough to ever want to move down. I prefer living in the northern part of the country in a big city with lots going on. Of course, I’m single with no youngsters, so big city life is easy for me. However, my sister is married with 4 youngsters and it’s better for her and her family to raise the youngsters in a more family oriented part of the country. Anyway, while going to see my sister, I noticed that she added something to her family room. She added a window cooling unit. You’re absolutely wondering if her house has a Heating, Ventilation & A/C unit, and the answer is yes. She has an HVAC unit installed in her house and she also uses a window a/c. Her home is a split floor plan, however only has one thermostat for climate control. And she doesn’t feel her room gets cool enough during the warmer months, so the solution was to add a window a/c. I’ve heard of installing a fan that is used in conjunction with the Heating, Ventilation & A/C unit to better circulate the air throughout a room. But adding a window cooling unit inside a room that has a central air conditioner is a foreign concept to me. Either way, it’s her home and she must do what makes her comfortable.
