Spring is the best time for HVAC maintenance

Are you ready for the Summer? I don’t know about you, but I’m already preparing for the moderate months ahead.

Between cleaning out my closet and my pantry, I also do some cleaning up of my yard. I remove all the weeds from the yard and the leaves plus debris that built-up while in the colder months. And speaking of debris, I ensure that I also remove the debris from my cooling unit condenser. If you don’t know, the condenser is the outdoor component of a split a/c Heating, Ventilation and A/C unit or a heat pump. It sits outside in the yard all year round and is usually exposed to all the elements. It’s the portion of the unit that the Heating, Ventilation & A/C serviceman will spend the majority of the time servicing. And speaking of service, part of my way to get ready for the Summer is to schedule my repair appointment with my HVAC serviceman. Every year, prior to the start of the warmer weather, I ensure that my HVAC unit is tuned-up. During this yearly service, my HVAC tech can determine or identify any potential concerns with the unit. In addition, this tune-up will help to improve the indoor air quality and extend the lifespan of the HVAC unit. Additionally, it will somewhat guarantee that I will have a comfortable Summer inside my home. Furthermore, getting the tune-up will limit the chances of the HVAC unit failing in the hottest part of the Summer. Aside from the tune-up plus cleaning out the debris, I make sure that I change my air filter. It’s one of the most important things you can do to guarantee that the Heating, Ventilation and A/C unit is functioning efficiently.
