When my pal and I rented out trip house for the fall I was skeptical about the whole thing from the start, however the paperwork said that my pal and I would need to bring our own bedding, food, and a couple of extension cords because there weren’t enough outlets in the unit. I wasn’t sure that any locale that didn’t have the wiring up to code was a locale that I wanted to stay for two whole weeks. My family said that they thought it would be nice so I went along with the plans. My friend and I arrived in the middle of the day and my fears were realized hastily. Not only was the electric situation awful but my pal and I discovered that the only heat source was an old wood burning stove in the corner of the main room, but it was well into the month of October and the eveningtime temps were dropping into the 40’s. There was no way that this would keep us sizzling all evening unless my pal and I took turns waking up to put wood on the fire. I was so mad! My friend and I hadn’t thought to ask about what type of heat the locale had, and with only a couple of outlets, my pal and I couldn’t even plug in space furnaces in the dining rooms. You can’t use and extension cord for those as it is a fire hazard. My friend and I had booked the locale for two weeks and all I could believe of was the fact that my pal and I would be angry the whole time. The first few evenings my pal and I suffered through with the fire in the stove but after that I called around to get prices on hotels. I also called the owner of the condo to tell them that my pal and I would be requesting a full refund based on false advertising.
