Wood Stove is not enough

When my buddy and I rented out getaway house for the fall I was skeptical about the whole thing from the start, the paperwork said that my buddy and I would need to bring our own bedding, food, plus a couple of extension cords because there weren’t enough outlets in the unit. I wasn’t sure that any place that didn’t have the wiring up to code was a place that I wanted to stay for two whole weeks. My family said that they thought it would be nice so I went along with the plans. We arrived in the middle of the afternoon plus my fears were realized quickly. Not only was the electric situation bad however my buddy and I discovered that the only heat source was an seasoned wood burning stove in the corner of the main room… It was well into the month of September plus the eveningtime temps were dropping into the 40’s. There was no way that this would keep us moderate all evening unless my buddy and I took turns waking up to put wood on the fire. I was so mad! We hadn’t thought to ask about what type of heat the place had, plus with only a couple of outlets, my buddy and I couldn’t even plug in space boilers in the home offices. You can’t use plus extension cord for those as it is a fire hazard. We had booked the place for two weeks plus all I could think of was the fact that my buddy and I would be miserable the whole time. The first few evenings my buddy and I suffered through with the fire in the stove however after that I called around to get prices on hotels. I also called the owner of the house to tell them that my buddy and I would be requesting a full refund based on false advertising.
