I appreciate my job, however the building that my associate and I are currently in is falling apart, then the building is an old wareapartment that was converted to an office space, and the supplier has occupied it for over 30 years now. So, it should be no surprise when I tell you that the roof has been leaking for over the past 3 years now; Every Spring when the rainy season begins, my associate and I anticipate finding leaks throughout the office! And yes, my associate and I have our commercial roofing business on speed dial because more often than not, they will make a trip to our office after a heavy rainfall. The last major leak occurred over one of our copying machines, and I can only know there was some kind of insurance claim made because it was destructiond, unfortunately, due to the way the building was constructed, a roof updatement is out of the question, and furthermore, a roof updatement wouldn’t make sense because the building is old and falling apart… If there were plans to repair and remodel the entire building, then a roof updatement would make more sense. So, when my associate and I do get the leaks after heavy rains, my associate and I contact our roofing business, and they patch the leaks as they discover them, however during the rainy season, the roofing business is at the office at least once per week. And at times, twice in one week if the rain showers are easily heavy. It’s rainy season now, so I expect to see the roofing businesss on and off for the next 5 to 6 months. Ultimately, the plan is to transport to a much better office space, however that plan has yet to come to fruition.
