When I was preparing to get my firstborn, my mom and sister thought I was being extravagant.
I had a list of things I wanted to change in the house before the baby came.
One of them was to install a smart HVAC system, but it was too expensive, and my husband thought our current HVAC unit did not need to be changed. My mom thought that changing the HVAC equipment was too much, and it finally made sense to me, so I stopped pursuing the project. So, I decided to add duct cleaning to get rid of any dirt trapped within the ductwork and any other parts of the unit to ensure that anything in it would not interfere with the air quality. I was still worried about the indoor air quality because I had humidity issues in some parts of the house, so I had the HVAC technician assess the house and recommend air purification help for us. We had the option of a whole home air purification system or simply installing one in the nursery because it was far from the rest of the busy rooms. We agreed on the nursery getting an air purification system on its own, and the rest of the house would depend on frequent air filter changes for air purification. The HVAC professional handled the entire consultation process through their company home service at no cost. I only paid for purchasing the right air purifier and getting the air purification help with installation. It was the best decision I made for the nursery because my son was born in the middle of the summer season, and it gets hot, humid, and dusty.
