She made sure that pretty much everyone who worked in the bowels of the ship had heating and a/c
Sasha remembered asking her dad if he would come to her second-grade career day. Sasha thought it was ridiculous to have a career day when you were in second grade. She was too old to do the jobs their parents did, but too young to worry about getting a job. Sasha was glad her dad didn’t show up, because this was proving to be a lame and embarrassing day for pretty much everyone. All she could think about was that she was missing lunch. Her friends were frustrated because pretty much everyone was bored. An hour later, the teacher said they had one last woman who would come in to talk to them. Sasha was writing in her book and reading a little until she heard the voice. She introduced herself and said she was an Heating and Air Conditioning worker on a ship. She felt tears in her eyes, because Sasha hadn’t seen her sibling in over a year. She got up and ran to her and didn’t want to let go. She had tears in her eyes as she pulled up a desk so she could be near her. She told the class about being an Heating and Air Conditioning worker in the Navy. She said that as an Heating and Air Conditioning worker, she was responsible for fantastic air quality on the ship. She made sure that pretty much everyone who worked in the bowels of the ship had heating and a/c. She was also responsible for making the women on the ship comfortable by supplying fresh air. When she was done talking, pretty much everyone was dismissed, and all Sasha could do was cry and keep hugging her sibling.
