Even though it is winter outside right now, it is still very warm on some days throughout the week.
On Monday temperatures were in the 40s and cold. I had to run the furnace during the day and at night. I made cookies to warm up the house and we had hot chocolate by the fireplace. Over the weekend, temperatures were closer to 80° with lots of sunshine and very few clouds. I found myself wanting to turn on the air conditioner during the day. I tried to keep myself from turning on the air conditioner because I know how bad it is for the system to run on heat one day and then run on cool the next. I turned on a couple of fans throughout the house so I could have a nice breeze when the temperature was warm. Now it’s going to be in the 40s again. I’m going to need to use the furnace. I’m extremely worried about the condition of the heating and air conditioning system, so I decided to contact a local repairman to have a full system maintenance tune-up performed on the furnace. If there are any problems at all, the tune-up will find them. I contacted a local company that has great reviews on line for customer service and prices. I’ve used the heating and air conditioner system repair company in the past and I think this is the same company that installed the furnace several years ago. I didn’t ask when I called, but I’m pretty sure that the same company is coming to help.
