The key must have been the HVAC maintenance

I was sort of shocked when the HVAC technician came to the front door to tell me the HVAC equipment wasn’t far from being done. I wasn’t shocked that the HVAC professionals was telling me this. I was shocked by the fact that our HVAC equipment went 27 years. And that HVAC unit went 27 years without some much as a hiccup when it came to providing quality heating and air. That’s what I was most shocked by. The fact that the HVAC was on it’s last legs was something we’d been preparing for a long time. In fact, when the heating and cooling equipment turned 21, we started a separate savings account to deal with that. And that savings account grew so much because our old HVAC unit just kept getting it done. So when the HVAC technician told us that we’d be needing new heating and cooling equipment, we were ready. The first thing I did was schedule a meeting with the HVAC contractor. That made things just so much easier as there is just so much change when it comes to HVAC technology over the last nearly three decades. That said, I have to applaud the old HVAC unit. It wasn’t top of the line or anything like that. We got the best HVAC unit we could afford. Yet, we made sure that the heating and cooling equipment got HVAC maintenance in the fall and the spring. There wasn’t a season that was missed when it came to getting HVAC maintenance and that’s why we got the longevity from that old HVAC unit that we did.
