My furnace broke yesterday, and the HVAC technician can’t get here for another day. It was supposed to start raining again, which would make it even more comfortable in the house. I didn’t need to worry about a furnace, because the temperatures weren’t low enough to freeze the pipes, but it was cold enough for me to freeze. I wouldn’t really freeze, but I was going to be very uncomfortable. I didn’t want to sit around and worry about the cold and rain, so I started a project. I was going to clean the house, and if I had enough time, I was going to tackle the garage. When I thought about the garage, I remembered there was an HVAC system in there. I was going to take a blanket, turn on the mini split HVAC system, and spend the night in the garage. There was a cat out there, because my nephew used to pretend it was a cabin and he was waiting for the Indians to arrive. I cleaned the garage up and put my blanket on the cot. I found an old television set and turned it on, glad that it worked. Between my cell phone, the cot, and the HVAC system, I was going to have a comfortable night. I didn’t even worry about there being a broken furnace in the house. When the HVAC technician arrived the next day, he wanted to know if I was too uncomfortable without the furnace. I told him I never gave the broken furnace a thought, and he just stared at me. I didn’t tell him I spent the night in the garage where I had a mini split HVAC system.
