We went to an outside music festival.

I begged my mom to let me go to an outside music festival last week.

I had never been to a music festival, and I thought I was old enough to go.

Mom told me that the only way she would let me go to the music festival was if she or my dad went with me. She didn’t think a fifteen year old girl should be alone in that large a group of people. I wasn’t happy, but I was going to get to go. I thought because of the crowd and the bright lights, it would be much warmer at the festival, than it was. I had worn a thin t-shirt, even though mom told me I should wear a hoodie, or a jacket. They didn’t have any lighting in the back of the crowd, and I kept inching closer to mom. There were bright lights up front, but I was cold. I was hoping there would be patio heaters to help keep me warm, but there was nothing. I was right next to mom when she put her arm around me and asked if I was okay. As much as I hated to admit it, I wasn’t having fun. I wanted to go to the car and turn on the heater so I would finally be warm. We got into the car, and I told mom I was scared because I knew no one, and I was glad she was there. I asked her to take me home so I could turn up the thermostat in my bedroom, and get some heat. I was shivering, and didn’t care if I ever went to another outdoor music festival.
