The radiant heated flooring was a good winter choice

Radiant heated flooring can be a very good choice for the winter months, if you are dealing with brand new construction or a remodel.

When you add radiant heat to the flooring, it has to be installed underneath the tile, carpet, or wood.

During the new construction phase, this can be achieved with ease. Once your house is already built, it’s going to be rather difficult to get rid of the flooring and put down radiant heat. I always tell my customers that I can do it, but it’s going to be expensive. The truth is that I can do any type of heating or cooling job, but it may be more money than the customer wants to pay. I had a customer call me about radiant heated flooring a couple of weeks ago. I knew it was going to be a great choice, and the guy told me that he was planning to remodel the area where he wanted radiant heated flooring. I went out to the place and gave the guy an estimate. At the time the house was together and it sure didn’t look like he was planning to remodel. A week later the whole place was demolished and I had full reign of the master bedroom kitchen, living area, and bathrooms to add radiant heated flooring equipment. It took my crew and I a couple of days to install all of the necessary equipment, but the new hydronic heating system and compact boiler will be energy efficient and last a long time. I wish every installation job could be so easy.
