Today is the 18th of April and the weather is still quite moderate.
The real heat won’t come here till the middle or end of June, and then it will stay hot till the middle of September before it starts to cool down again for the winter season.
That means we have about five months of warm weather and it is going to get really crowded here around the end of June and stay that way until the beginning of September when everyone starts to leave here to go back to their jobs and their schools. The cooling supplier will be busy soon with HVAC sales and I am going to work more hours for them for the summer season to pick up a little more cash. I want to put some money in the bank over the next six months so that I have a nice buffer in case something comes up. I will do more HVAC tech work for the local contractor and I should be able to save about $10K in the bank by the end of the summer season, which should be easy because I already have about $4K saved so far. Once I get that buffer then I can cut back a bit on the work and focus more on music in the band so that we can start doing more shows in clubs and bars. I want to perform in this swanky club tomorrow, which has a fireplace behind the stage to add some ambiance for when we are performing for the crowds. It should be fun.
