I haven’t talked to my mom in quite a while.
The last time we chatted her brother was going down with pancreatic cancer and I think she is just too down right now to want to talk.
I will give her some time and then we can catch up once she has recovered from this loss. I’m not even sure if he is alive now or gone because I haven’t heard anything from her, but either way he is going to be gone very soon. I grew up with him as he was only about 15 years older. HVAC system repairs was his job for many years and I think he smoked a few packs a day while working on the heating and cooling equipment, and I’m sure that did not help with the predicament he is in now. I think he and my dad both last about the same amount of time, 73 years old, which means that if I am in the same boat I only have about 17 years left wow. I’ve been an HVAC rep for many years and feel it is time to move on to something else instead of cleaning heating devices and repairing thermostats for the rest of my life. I liked doing the work for many years but now I feel like I would like to try something new such as learn a musical instrument or try my hand at doing improv on a stage. I’d like to perform at this local business near me which has classes in acting and other performing arts before I’m too old.
