I recently moved in with a friend from high school.
We both graduated college and started our careers, and we both wanted to save money to build our own dream homes.
We decided that renting a place together would allow us to save money quicker. We are both pretty passive people, and to be honest, we hardly see each other with our busy schedules. Kate works from seven to five Monday through Friday, and I work from six to five Monday through Saturday. Both of us do extra work for our jobs while at home, and that’s why we hardly spend any time together. Kate and I both enjoy keep the apartment pretty cool. There was only one air conditioner when we moved in, and it was in the window in the living room. We both bought small units for our bedrooms as well. I bought mine from a yard sale, and it turns out that buying it from a yard sale was not such a good idea. The air conditioner did work when I bought it, but it made some strange noises sometimes. I found myself waking up in the middle of the night to a loud noise that my AC was making. It bothered me a little, but as long as it blew out nice, cool air, I didn’t really care too much. This lasted for about a week and a half before it just completely stopped working. It was a huge bummer, and I ended going about two weeks without air conditioning in my room which was torture. I finally ended up buying a brand new one, and I wish I would of just done that in the first place, but I guess, you live and learn.
