About 10 years ago I decided to replace the heating and AC unit in my home with a ductless mini split system.
The ductless mini split system has one single unit and separate air handlers.
I have a separate unit in the living room and another unit in the bedroom. I was experiencing problems with the air handler in the bedroom, so I decided to call a repair service. I contacted the same repair service that installed the system. The woman on the phone was excellent and provided me with troubleshooting assistance. We went through a couple of steps to see if anything could help fix the problem. After that, she told me that she could schedule me for an emergency service appointment that evening, or I could wait until the next day. I I decided to wait until the next day so I didn’t have to pay the extra money for the emergency service fee. I found out that the air handler in the living room needed to be replaced. The other air handler was working just fine, but the one inside of the living room was gone. The AC repair technician gave me a great deal on a new air handler and he also gave me a price to replace the other one when I was ready. I might try to get that done during Christmas when I get my annual bonus. I would love to be able to wait until Christmas to replace both of them, but then I won’t have any money at all to buy gifts for my family.
