My husband and I have been having trouble with our furnace for a couple of years now, and I was just sick of it.
My husband replaced a few parts on it within two years, and it had been working for us but not very well.
I came home from work many times to a freezing house because the furnace randomly turned off on its own. It turned back on everytime that I tried, so that was nice, but it was not reliable. I decided that we should just go ahead and spend the money on having an HVAC technician come out and look at it. I knew that it would cost hundreds of dollars if not more, but I did not want to have to deal with a broken furnace anymore. I asked my husband what he thought, and he agreed that we should probably get the furnace checked out by an HVAC technician. I went shopping the day before I planned to call a company, and I found a furnace on clearance. It was more than seventy percent off. I could not believe it. I called my husband, and he told me to just go ahead and buy it. We saved a ton of money, and I am super happy. It probably would have cost more money to have an HVAC technician come and fix our old furnace than it did for us to buy the new one. Plus, our other furnace was quite old, and who knows how much longer it would have lasted. I am super happy about having a new furnace!
